Workforce Development

The Office of Workforce Development (OWD) in Boston is dedicated to ensuring that all residents of the city can actively participate in its economic growth. It achieves this by connecting low-income residents with job training and employment opportunities and fostering lifelong literacy and educational paths. OWD places a strong emphasis on competitive workforce development initiatives and policies that aim to help both youth and adults in Boston establish sustainable careers. Collaboration with other workforce development and education programs in the city is a priority, with the ultimate goal of empowering Bostonians to achieve their educational and employment goals.
