Honoring the cultural heritage of Roxbury and Nubian Square

Community members in Roxbury advocated for renaming the Roxbury Library to Nubian Library following the renaming of Nubian Square. I sponsored a resolution to make this renaming a reality, ensuring the library’s name honors our community’s heritage and continues the positive transformation seen in Nubian Square. This change reflects a commitment to aligning with values of inclusivity and respect for the African diaspora and the Black community.
