Hearing order on standardized testing

At the latest City Council meeting, I filed a hearing order to evaluate using standardized testing as a graduation requirement. Each year, 700 students do not receive a diploma because they did not receive a passing grade on their exam. The graduation requirement disproportionally impacts the graduation rate for students of color, low-income students, those with disabilities, and English learners.
