In response to the looming closure of Walgreens at 416 Warren Street, I’m sponsoring this hearing order to address its impact on District 7 residents. This closure, along with others in predominantly Black, Brown, and working-class neighborhoods, threatens essential access to medications, groceries, and health resources—especially for seniors and those with limited mobility. We’re hoping for relevant stakeholders to work together on solutions to prevent pharmacy deserts and ensure equitable access to healthcare essentials. This is about safeguarding our community’s right to vital resources and holding corporations accountable to those they serve.
I invite you to attend and share your thoughts, either in person or virtually. The hearing will also be available to watch live and will be recorded for later viewing.
